With its Light Bee and Ultra Bee models, Surron not only recorded more registrations than any other electric motorcycle manufacturer in the UK market, but also beat its petrol-powered rivals to claim top spot in the ‘Competition’ registration category in August and September.

Based on the Motorcycle Industry Association’s official registration figures for August and September 2023, the Surron Ultra Bee not only led the 11KW category and the overall competition category, but recorded a significantly higher percentage of registrations than every other manufacturer in the Electric top five charts, while Surron as a whole recorded nearly fives times more registrations than it’s nearest manufacturer.

It’s not just road tax that the Surron e-bikes are exempt from. With all major UK cities becoming energy-compliant, the Ultra Bee avoids additional charges from factors like congestion charge areas, the now-expanded ultra-low emissions zones (ULEZ) and electric vehicle-only lanes.

Május 21-én csaknem 100 000 elegáns motoros vonul fel a világ több mint 100 országának mintegy 1000 városában – köztük 10. alkalommal Budapesten is –, hogy egyéni és szponzori adományokat gyűjtsenek a novemberi „bajszos” kampányból már ismert Movember Foundationnek.

A rendezvénysorozat a 2012-es indulásától mára a legnagyobb vintage, klasszikus és épített motorok részvételével zajló jótékonysági rendezvénnyé nőtte ki magát. A DGR résztvevői az elmúlt 11 évben összesen 37,5 millió dollárt ajánlottak fel a fenti célokra.

A kezdetek óta évről évre nőtt a figyelemfelkeltő, jótékonysági motoros eseményen részt vevők száma, és ezzel együtt a felajánlások is. A pandémia miatt két alkalommal elmaradt a szervezett felvonulás, azonban tavaly újra nyeregbe szálltak a jól öltözött motorosok. 2022-ben Magyarországon 297 motoros vett részt, és mintegy 3,5 ezer dollárt adományoztak.
